I just stumbled across this listing while searching for a cover that fits this very fire pit. Attracted by its clean lines and simple design, I bought it one year ago. Since then, the bottom has rusted through. I'm actually in the middle of de-rusting and painting it right now to try and extend its life. If it will never be exposed to rain and will be cleaned after each use, then go ahead and buy it. If you're like me, though, and less attentive to your fire pit, keep looking.

I bought this fire pit a couple of years ago, and I've been diligent in my care of it. I bought a cover at the same time I bought the pit, and I clean it within a day or two after each use. I am especially careful to avoid letting the ashes get wet. As a result, I have not had a significant problem with rust. However, within a few months (and probably no more than a dozen uses), the metal started warping badly. The only time all four legs sit on the ground is when the pit is in use and the metal is hot. Otherwise, it has one let that sits a couple of inches off the ground. Given how much time and effort I put into keeping the fire pit clean and covered, I'm a little disappointed that it won't sit flat.

Best fire pit I have ever purchased! It keeps great in the outdoors all year long-- no signs of wear and tear or rust of any kind. The deep basin is ideal for setting large fires or small. 100% recommend!
